However the Lankan team was in trouble as the Kiwi’s removed Opener Kusal Janith Perera for a duck in the first ball.
T.M. Dilshan and Kumar Sangakkara are now in the middle.
Sri Lanka left out Nuwan Kulasekera from the playing eleven and has brought in Shaminda Eranga.
The match commenced at 3.00 pm Sri Lankan time.
