Sri Lanka bats, Kulasekera left out

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat in their first game in the ICC Champions Trophy played against New Zealand in Cardiff, UK.

However the Lankan team was in trouble as the Kiwi’s removed Opener Kusal Janith Perera for a duck in the first ball.

T.M. Dilshan and Kumar Sangakkara are now in the middle.

Sri Lanka left out Nuwan Kulasekera from the playing eleven and has brought in Shaminda Eranga.

The match commenced at 3.00 pm Sri Lankan time.
